Coordinator of Disability Services
Kerry Kimble

Kerry is a two-time graduate from Vanguard University. She was a theatre major and also earned her Master’s degree in Education. Kerry has an Education Specialist Credential from Cal State Fullerton which prepared her to work specifically with students with disabilities. Most recently she worked with students in the Anaheim City School District providing advocacy, support and accommodations for students with disabilities. Kerry brings strong organizational skills to the Office of Disability Services and also has a strong ability to collaborate with others while implementing high levels of service for students.

 

Student Disability Services at Vanguard University exists to provide representation, access, service, academic adjustments, and community support to students with learning, physical, and emotional disabilities through communication, advocacy, and collaborative services.

Student Disability Services Goals

  1. To provide a safe, comfortable, and caring place of contact and support for student with disabilities.
  2. To understand the nature of the student’s disability and to implement appropriate accommodations that address the student’s limitations.
  3. To treat persons with disabilities with dignity and respect and to view disability issues as matters of diversity.
  4. To facilitate ongoing and reasonable improvements in areas of structural access, assistive technology, academic adjustments, community education, and administrative advocacy.

Contact Information

The Coordinator of Disability Services office is located in the Counseling Center on the second floor of the Scott Academic Center. The Coordinator of Disability Services has a private email account and may be emailed directly at disability.coord@vanguard.edu.

Office Hours

Disability Services is open during normal business hours from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. When necessary, staff members are available after hours. The staff may work modified schedules during the summer and/or during University recesses. Please contact the Coordinator of Disability Services, Kerry Kimble, for more information.
